We heard about Atonement from a friend who attended Atonement for a few years before moving out of the area. Our friend said, “If I was still living closer, I would be going to Atonement.” We decided to give it a try. The first time we attended we didn't know anyone; however, a friendly person took an interest in our lives and invited us out to lunch. Needless to say we were blown away by this simple act of love and kindness. We attended the adult Sunday school class and other activities and began to get to know people. Along with loving Christ, one of the strengths of Atonement is that the people of the church love people well. This makes Atonement a special church. It’s a blessing to be able to call Atonement our home church. When people found out that we were called to serve God overseas, they continued to do what they had already been doing—displaying love in abundance. We hope that we can bless others like God has blessed us through Atonement.
