Atonement has been my home for 30 years. I met my incredible wife, Robin through the young adults group. My two children were raised here. My son and his wife and our new grandson are active members. I’ve been a deacon twice and am just finishing up my first term as an elder. There are many reasons why I first started coming here and why I’ve remained over the years. I came to Christ through the witness of members here. The Word of God is strongly proclaimed as unequivocal truth every week. The people here are my family.
I lovingly refer to Atonement as the best dysfunctional family I could ever be part of. We’re all broken and messed up in different ways but through our mutual love for Christ we look past our differences and help carry each other through the trials and challenges of this life. If you’re looking for a place where you can learn what it means to live as a Christ follower, where you can be you and find acceptance, where you can be challenged to grow in your faith. This is the place. And isn’t that what a true family is all about?
