Welcome to the website of Presbyterian Church of the Atonement! We are so glad you decided to visit. The people of Atonement are growing in vital, personal relationships with Christ and each other. On any given Sunday you will see people who are just deciding whether to begin the journey of faith, others who are mature and joyful Christians, and many who are in-between. There is a place for you at Church of Atonement!  We invite you to join with us as we worship our Lord this Sunday.

We are located in Silver Spring, MD, conveniently located just south of Westfield Wheaton Shopping Mall, Wheaton Metro Station, and the new residential communities including Leesborough Townhomes, Westwood Gardens, the Tiers at Wheaton, and the Encore condominiums in Wheaton.

6:00PM - A New Thing

This year’s Christmas program, A New Thing, is not a program from a box, but a testimony from our church to the truth of Christ the Savior. Dozens of brothers and sisters in Christ are giving time, creativity, and more so that A New Thing might leave a lasting impression of God’s love and goodness in sending Jesus. It includes writers, directors, actors, musicians, singers, readers, decorators, and more. By more, I refer to our entire congregation. Your presence this evening will affirm the faith we are expressing as well as the value of efforts to reach out with the Gospel. Bring guests. A New Thing is designed to speak to the hearts of young and old, Christians and inquirers.

The Paintings of Rembrandt at the Church of Atonement
Church of Atonement's Rembrandt collection includes nine reproductions of key biblical scenes. The paintings are on displayed in Narthex, Chapel, and Alcove on the main level. We invite you to stroll among the paintings and imagine what it would be like if you had been there and witnessed the events. Rembrandt's paintings are very powerful and passionate depictions of important events recorded in God's Word.   View the Collection
