Here is what you can expect:
- Expect to be welcomed - When you arrive at Atonement, you will likely be welcomed by greeters at the door, ushers in the sanctuary, and members who love to welcome new guests. Rest assured, there will be no public call for visitors to stand and be recognized. Hospitality and welcome are two things our congregation loves to display.
- Expect a reflection of our community - Though we are historically Presbyterian, our membership is reflective of our diverse community. We are a multi-national, multi-cultural, and multi-generational church. Over 20 nations of origin are represented in rich, ethnic diversity. One of the most attractive things about our church is seeing how God continues to bring people from many different backgrounds, experiences, and vocations together through our common faith in Christ.
- Expect to hear the Gospel - Our services are gospel-centered. This means that our prayers, singing, and Scripture center on the good news of the forgiveness and blessing experienced through Jesus Christ.
- Expect God to be exalted - Sunday worship is the highlight of our gatherings. The focus on Sunday morning is to glorify God through times of prayer, singing, scripture and the sacrament of Lord's Supper. Communion is the high point of our worship. We welcome and invite everyone who professes faith in Christ and has been baptized to receive the Lord's Supper.
- What about my kids? - Our goal is for kids to know they are part of the Church by participating in the worship service. We try to encourage families to worship together. However, we know not every family is ready for that step. For younger children, we offer a nursery program for ages 0-Pre-K. Families can drop off children before the service or after the children's message. A nursing room with a live stream of the service is available as well. Click here for more info.
