Sarah has been involved in leading worship through music for over 20 years. She holds a degree in church music from Yonsei University, South Korea. Prior to coming to Atonement, Sarah served for 7 years as the Assistant and Director of Music at Tree of Life Presbyterian Church and over 13 years as accompanist supporting daily worship services, contemporary praise bands, and adult/youth choral groups for Korean Presbyterian (Kosin) churches in the cities of Seoul, Uijeongbu, Daejeon, and Pusan.
In addition to church music, Sarah has enjoyed introducing music to both youth and adults. She previously conducted the Dream Children’s Choir, which is sponsored by the Samsung Digital City to serve underprivileged elementary age youth in Gyeonggi Province, as well as the city of Yangju’s Christian Television System (CTS) Children’s Choir. Sarah also has experience with choirs in professional settings as an instructor for employee choirs at Hyundai and Samsung. Sarah has a passion for choral performance singing with the Camarata Music Company’s Chamber Singers, the North-South (Korea) Young Adult Unification Choir, and international choral performances at the Lincoln Center and the International Contest of Habanera and Polyphony-Spain. At Atonement, Sarah aims to supports the church in worship from the organ with meaningful music and in song as the congregation responds to the preaching of God’s Word. She conducts the Atonement Handbell Choir and supports the greater music ministry at Atonement led by Luke Link, Director of Music Ministries. |
