Life Groups
Church of the Atonement is a family. I am a witness that Atonement is a family. The most defining feature of a family is this: families do life together. This is precisely what our church aspires to do through our Life Groups. In Acts 2:42, 46-47, Luke the physician writes, “And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers….And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts, praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added to their number day by day those who were being saved.” Here God gives us a picture of the early church doing life together. There are five characteristics of the early church’s ministry that we practice in our Life Groups. In Life Groups we: Fellowship, Engage, Serve, Invite, and Grow. At Atonement, we want to know our fellow brothers and sisters-in-Christ, to grow as a church, and to welcome new people into the life of our church family by doing life together as God’s Word teaches us. If you are interested in joining a Life Group at Church of the Atonement, please speak to me or to our Assimilation Coordinator, Jim Rohrer.
